Delay and Cancellation Policy
Your safety is our number one priority
Flights may be delayed, for your safety, due to weather, unforeseen mechanical issues or other similar circumstance beyond the control of Ascent or our Air Carrier partners. Our trusted Air Carrier partners will have the final call on any form of weather delays or cancellations.
If your flight is cancelled or delayed, you will be notified by Ascent via email and/or by text message and/or phone. In the event weather forecasts look unfavourable and the helicopter operator has advised us there is a high probability of cancellations due to weather, Ascent shall endeavour to send notifications of weather delays or cancellations at least one hour prior to your departure time.
Get refunded for flight delays and cancellations due to weather or other circumstances beyond ASCENT's control
A flight that is less than 30km, which is or shall be delayed for more than one (1) hour, or a flight that is more than 30km, which is or shall be delayed for more than two (2) hours will be deemed as cancelled. You shall be provided the option of either rebooking the same flight at no additional charge, or applying for a refund of the fare paid through receipt of Ascent credits. To minimise the impact of delays or cancellations due to weather, we may reassign you to a different aircraft than the type originally assigned.
Flight bookings are non-refundable for no-shows and late passengers
In order to ensure affordability, reliability and a good experience, cancellations that are not caused by or due to the passenger will be refundable. These refunds will be made by Ascent in the form of Ascent Credits and will be credited to your account on the platform for future flights.
Flight bookings may be cancelled for a refund or rebooked
Our Air Carrier partners may require you to cancel bookings up to three (3) days prior to your scheduled departure time in order to obtain a refund or be allowed to rebook your flight at another day or time. Cancelations fees could apply (refer to tables below). Refunds may be provided in the form of Ascent Credits and will be added to your account on the platform for future flights. Retiming may be provided.
Flights may be rescheduled
Reschedule is accepted without charge three (3) days prior to Departure. Reschedule itinerary must be within thirty (30) days from the original Departure. Amendable itinerary can only be confirmed subject to aircraft availability. No reschedule will be accepted shorter than one (1) hour prior to Departure and will be treated as cancellation.
For Experiential flights, a fee of fifty percent (50%) will apply if a request for the reschedule is received between one (1) hour to three (3) days prior to Departure.
For Charter flights, a fee of US$800 will apply if a request for the reschedule is received between one (1) hour to three (3) days prior to Departure.
